Australia!!

I already wrote a bunch about my weekend in Singapore while I was waiting for a flight at the Perth airport but I can't get it posted online yet because the text is on my laptop that's run out of battery and I don't have an adaptor yet. I'll add it here as soon as possible.

So, I'm finally in Australia! The journey has been really tiring since I couldn't fall asleep the night before my flight from Singapore to Perth, then I had a 9-hour-long stopover in Perth before my flight to Sydney, and I couldn't sleep on the place either because the air conditioning was too cold. So when I arrived in Sydney this morning at 6am I hadn't slept properly for 40 hours and was feeling really dizzy. I had to wait for the UTS Housing Service to open at 9 to get my house key. Then I walked to Geegal, which is about to be my new home for the next year. I met Moi from Mexico and he accompanied me to the Broadway Shopping Centre to buy some linen and towels. Then it was finally time to get some sleep! I slept for a couple of hours and felt a lot better after that. I headed back to the shopping centre to get some dinner and buy more stuff. Since I got back from there I've been just cleaning my room, doing laundry and unpacking... I met two of the guys living in our flat; Tim and Andrei (at least I believe that's his name) from Australia. I also met a bunch of other Geegal people outside the house but can't recall their names yet.

My first impression of Sydney, which is just walking from the Central Station to the UTS Main Building and to Geegal and to Broadway, is really good! It's lots of people and traffic, lots to see and do :) It's around 25C here now but it feels hotter than in Singapore because the sun is shining. I already got a bit tan while I was walking outside.

Geegal seems like a nice place to live. The courtyjard is under construction at the moment so I haven't seen it properly yet but it looks like a nice place to hang around once it's finished. There are separate flats in the building, 6 people living in each. In the ground floor there are a lounge room with couches and a TV and a kitchen. My room is in the upper floor. The furniture isn't really new but it's clean and in good condition. I like especially the huge mirrors attached to my wardrobe that make the room look bigger. I think I'll be just fine living here :)

Now it's 9:30 and I think it's time for me to go to bed. I can't wait for tomorrow when I'll feel more energetic and can actually do some stuff! (Sorry for the bad English, I'm just too lazy to pay any attention to grammar right now.)
